Smart Data informs its customers that they are entitled to the following rights, in compliance with the 2005 Electronic Communications Act and subsequent regulations:

  • To provide the required service without any unfair discrimination
  • To receive information in their preferred language
  • To access and question consumer account information
  • To protect their personal data and to not have personal data sold to third parties without their permission
  • To port a number
  • To lodge a complaint (details below) and a right to redress

Smart Data endeavours at all times to:

  • Act fairly, reasonably and responsibly in all matters;
  • To ensure that services & products comply with the correct specifications in all relevant legislation and regulations
  • Not discriminating against customers on grounds of race , gender, sex , age, religion, disability, ethnicity or sexual orientation
  • Expressing maximum courtesy and concern when dealing with consumers
  • Provide information to customers about services and prices
  • Offer assistance to consumers, on request, to their customers ‘ needs
  • Keeping personal details private for customers
  • Advise consumers to refer their unresolved complaints to ICASA
